清晨 Early Morning

外面阳光晴好，夏恩和丹尼奥都早早起床了。洗漱完之后，一杯米路，一份牛奶麦片，搭配新鲜水果，营养美味的早餐为上午提供满满的能量！
On school mornings, Cheyanne and Daniel get up early. They have a wash.then a healthy breakfast- a cup of milo, muesli with milk and fresh fruit to supply them with energy for the morning！

出发去学校啦！夏恩的弟弟也就读于日照耀华国际学校，每天早上两人都会相伴而行。而丹尼奥的家离学校稍远，所以他选择坐校车上学。每天早上校车司机和跟车阿姨都会准时来接他。
Time to go to school! Cheyanne lives nearby and likes to walk to school with her brother who also studies at YWISRZ. But Daniel' home is farther from school, so he chooses to take the school bus. The school bus driver and nursing staff pick him up everyday.

晨检之后，夏恩和丹尼奥来到各自的教室放好书包，提交作业包，开始为一天的学习做准备。夏恩是绿色环保小组的成员，今天她和弟弟负责把昨天回收的废旧物品装入教学楼外的回收箱里。而丹尼奥则和早来的同学一起拼起了积木。
After their health checks, Cheyanne and Daniel go to their classrooms, hang up their backpacks, submit their homework folders, and prepare for study. Cheyanne is a member of the "Recycling Team", and today she and her brother help to put the recycling items in the bins. Meanwhile Daniel is playing blocks with his friends in the classroom.
08:00-08:20
每天第一节课前的二十分钟是品格教育分享时间。本月的主题是“友爱”。夏恩写下了她对友情的理解是包容，相互帮助。于此同时，丹尼奥正在和同学们一起听老师讲关于友谊主题的有趣故事－彩虹鱼。
Character Education is for the first 20mins everyday. Today, Cheyanne wrote about her understanding of friendship being generosity and working together. Daniel and other Lower Primary students were listening to an interesting story about friendship - The Rainbow Fish.
08:20－09:30
上午的前两节课是英文和英文写作，两个班级都是采用小组教学和中西方老师合作教学模式。老师根据每个孩子的能力水平因材施教，并鼓励他们思考讨论并提出问题。丹尼奥今天的课程围绕南瓜展开，旁边的女同学貌似不太喜欢南瓜的味道。^^
The two classes in the morning are English and English Writing. Group teaching and Co-teaching by eastern and western teachers are used in both classrooms. Teachers design their teaching programmes for the different needs of students who are encouraged to think and ask questions. Today, Daniel’s English class is related to pumpkins. It seems the girl beside Daniel didn't like the smell of pumpkin. ^^
09:30-10:00
加餐和户外活动时间到了！今天的健康加餐是葡萄和酸奶。令人印象深刻的是，在这里，学生负责取餐和分配，没有喧闹没有争抢，一切都有条不紊。丹尼奥和其他同学一样，小心的将葡萄皮用纸巾包好并投入垃圾筒，之后就可以到游乐场进行自由活动啦！值班老师则会在旁边全程监护，保证孩子的活动是符合安全的。
Time for snack and break! The snack for today is yogurt and grapes. Students sensibly share the snacks with each other. Daniel wrapped his grape peel in a piece of tissue paper and put it in the trash-can. After snack, all students went to the playground and played games or did sport activities of their choice. Two teachers are always on duty at break time to supervise the students.
11:00-12:00
虽然是国际学校，但在日照耀华，中文、中国文化和小提琴是必修课。（小编个人觉得真是个高大上又文艺范儿的学校）因为刚来中国，夏恩的中文课被安排到中文强化班进行，而丹尼奥来中国要早且中文进步很大，所以这学期他被编排到中文高级班上课。而接下来的数学课是跟随英国国家课程采用纯英文授课，所以对母语是非英语的孩子来说，掌握英语数学术语至关重要。
At Yew Wah International School of Rizhao, Chinese, Chinese Culture and Violin are compulsory courses. Cheyanne is new to China and has no Chinese Language skills, so she is currently studying C.A.L (Chinese as a second language). Daniel has made some progress in Chinese, so he studies Chinese in the mainstream Chinese class in Lower Primary. Maths& English curriculum is modified from the National Curriculum in England.
